A few ideas to maximise your enjoyment during your stay

1st day: Nîmes (40 km) and its numerous Roman remains… its arenas, the Magne Tower, the Maison Carrée and, on the way back, the Pont du Gard, the grandiose Roman aqueduct bridge which has resisted the River Gardon's assaults for centuries. This an ideal site for history-lovers of course, but also for anyone looking for sporting activities and thrills: river swimming, canoeing, walks… And why not then enjoy a delicious dinner in a restaurant in Collias or Uzès?

2nd day: The Luberon and its picturesque small villages (30 km) : Roussillon and its ochre deposits, Gordes, Lourmarin. In the morning you can take a stroll through the Provençal markets or go for a walk through the Mediterranean nature (olive trees, pine trees, cyste…) and then a visit to the Roussillon ochre quarries, the picturesque villages of Gordes, Lourmarin…
You can end off this busy day with a refreshing apéritif on an attractive village square.

3rd day: The Alpilles (35 km) and a visit of Baux de Provence. The views over the whole valley and the Camargue are breathtaking. Ensure you visit the Val d’Enfer and the Cathédrale d’Images, and round off the day with a walk round the bustling streets of Saint-Rémy de Provence.

4th day: Travel through Camargue to the beaches of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (70 km). The cobbled streets and the town's majestic church are enchanting… Have your palm read by the gypsy women… The sea, the area's local traditions, férias, pilgrimages and festivities… this is truly a place like no other! On the way back, a stop in the Roman town of Arles to enjoy its many summer activities is a must.

5th day: the Vaucluse and the cooler temperatures of the Mont-Ventoux: walking and cycling circuits, picnics… Taste the renowned Nougat de Sault, hunt through the stalls and boutiques of the antique and second hand dealers of l'Isle sur Sorgue, explore the villages built on to the side of the hills (Venasque, Séguret, Barroux), sample the region's numerous wines (Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Beaumes de Venise and its delicious muscat, to name but a few)
We will always be delighted to advise you...
